Deborah Campbell

Deborah is an Eastern Arrernte woman who grew up in Mparntwe ( Alice Springs) and Ltyentye Apurte ( Santa Teresa) in Central Australia, about 40km south east of Mparntwe. Deborah is the daughter of Therese Ryder a respected artist known for her watercolour landscapes and dotting technique paintings. Deborah learnt to paint by watching her mother . Deborah typically depicts various bush tucker and women dancing for corroboree. Deborah pays homage to the native botanicals of the region by painting in vibrant colours with the impression of a soft glow with fine dotting in warm earthy tones.
